Anode in hot water heater?

I was wondering if there is any hitch system or mount that is better than the others as far as putting a 2 5/16" ball in the bed for pulling a gooseneck equipment style trailer. My truck is a 2000 2500 4x4 long bed.

Thanks for your thoughts and advice! :)

Do a search in this forum for "gooseneck". There are over 500 separate threads (lots of reading!). They discuss just about anything you could ask or did not think of, including comparisons/experiences with different brands, then you can make the decision about what is best for you.

There are probably threads in Parts /Acessories also.

I agree with Mopar-mudder on the B&W hitch. I am pleased with mine. Leaves bed clean when ball is not needed.

I built my own (very similar to B&W). I have compared mine to B&W and each component is thicker or wider than the B&W and I have more and heavier gussets. Maybe a little overkill but I only have $80. 00 in it.

Approx. 25-30 hours to gather parts, weld, sandblast, paint and install. Good thing I work for free or the labor charges would have killed me.

I don't regret it and love the hitch.
