I use 2 stroke oil for a cheap dose of lubrication. Since I'm lazy I'll dump a quart into 35 gallons. For the first few days my fuel pressure can drop to 13 at idle and pull down to 12 at WOT. After a few days of part time driving the pressure goes back to 16 and stays there. Anyone else seeing this?

I dont think that ration of mix would cause this. I would look into your set up your gauge. fuel filter. if you have a diaphram that is going bad etc. never seen that happen. how long has it been since you changed your fuel filter.

never had a prob in a couple of years of 1qt of 2 cycle per fill up. check the gauage and wiring.

Fresh filter recently installed and the pressure drop only follows the addition of a quart of 2 cycle oil. The phenomenon only lasts for 2-3 days before the pressure steadies at the normal 16. Other additives used in the past never effected pressure. If I avoid the 2 stroke..... NO pressure drop. Strange huh?

You are adding the 2 cycle when you fill--the tank, if not maybe its all staying in glob till its gone.

one thing caught my eye. when you change your filter to a new one on my set up I notice a slight lower reading usually just that day I'm driving then its back to 20psi at idle. when I put in the new one it usually will show 18 1/2 for a short time. dont know if this is just due to the filter being new. I have always wanted to try soaking my fuel filter prior to installing the new one and see if I dont get the slight drop in psi. I dont thing the 2 cycle even staying in a blob would do anything. if so the blob would be floating on top shouldnt do anything on the reading side. now also do you have the oem pick up tube in the tank. I dont know the signs of a tube cavitating on itself if that would cause a reading like this.
