Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 2 Cycle oil

Is anybody else running 2 Cycle oil for lub in diesel if so how much are running i would like to know ive been putting additive in but its to exspensive

Yep, I'm adding 1 oz/gallon.

I'm adding a quart per fill up. Sure quietens things down.

I'm doing it to add lubricity to the fuel in hopes that it'll make the VP happier. Some folks I've talked to claim to be getting a few more miles per gallon. I see maybe a 1/2 mile per gallon increase. Not sure how or why, but it makes the engine run quieter.

I just tried it in mine last week, I added 1/2 quart to my fill up. After 20/25 miles or so, the injector rattle started to lessen. I now have about 100 miles on it, and and at idle my injector rattle has all but disappeared.



I do not know what the long term affect will be, but so far it's been positive!

The '03-06 you can but 07 6. 7L you cannot you have to put the ultra low sulfer in them

I noticed not 1 decibel of difference. Might make some but nothing showed up on my meter. I agree that some lubrication is a help. as for me. . if I can find it cheap I will put some in, if I can find power service or anything else that works too. I even put in a couple quarts of 5-30w when they are on sale for $0. 70 a quart with rebates.



No miracle cure, but it probably helps some.
