Im wanting to install the coil spring spacers. I have heard alot of talk about the track bar needing to be replaced or extended. What is some of yall's input on the track bar situation. After a new track bar is put in, do you still need to get your truck alligned??

Also, with the two inch lift in the front, will I be able to run 33 x 14. 50 x 16 super swamper boggers or even just the 33 x 12. 50 x 16 boggers with 16x10 inch wheels without them rubbing? I know that i will be able to run regular 33's on 16x10 inch wheels without them rubbing but i was just wondering about swampers.

I would appreciate pic's of 2 inch level kits installed if you have them available :)

Thanks

For $140 you can get Skyjacker 2. 5" extended coils. Better ride then stock. BTW, I am running 35" tires with the 2" coils. The track bar does not need to be lengthened with only two inches. Also the alighnment itself will not be off but the steering wheel will be turned to one side slightly. However you can adjust this yourself if you want. Most people just spend the money and get it alligned though.

A friend of mine had the 2" spacers with 10" aftermarket alum. rims w/ 33's. I think they were fine. IF there was any problem it was the tire rubbing on the metal fender at the bottom of the front door. I know he switched to 35's and definitely had that problem. He trimmed the little body seam w/ the sawzall and it helped some. Backspacing is the problem you find with the aftermarket rims. They stick the tire out farther, so the swing radius and arc length of the tire are both bigger. When you put bigger tires on stock backspace rims, they don't hit the metal fender, but hit the control arms and inner plastic fender. You'd probably be OK with the 12. 50's, but the 14. 50's will stick out an inch farther with the same rim. This will probably rub, but you never know till you try. With boggers, if you make a mistake, you only have to wait about 10000 miles before you get to change tires again. ;)

Alignment!

Aloha, Just remember to get it align quick. You think that would be common sense, but i thought i could go with out it. Put on about 8k miles on my tires and it did quite a bit of damage. And yes i am an idiot!

Aloha

P. S. I went with just the Daystar spacers and new ranchos. :p

Thanks Guys!

This advice has helped me out a little. Im just still hearing alot of stuff about replacing the track bar because the axle moves to the left. I do not want my axle to the left and i would hate to pay all that money for the dt track bar. More info is appreciated!

Press the track bar...

Do a search on the track bar and you may find some other solutions. In fact, I have read just recently of a member having his track bar pressed at the curve to create an extra 1/2" of length in the bar (supposedly all that is needed to re-center) and that aligned things right up without purchasing any new products. I think the guy actually had his own press, and did it without adding heat.

I would consider this a viable alternative to the pricey (though sweet) DT Trackbar. Just have to find someone willing to press it out a tiny bit for you. If they don't use heat, the stock bar should retain it's original stength characteristics.
