2" leveling kit which one

My next project is to level my truck I realize this has been discussed many times, but I would like to hear some updated info. I did a search and did some reading, but would like to hear how everyone's leveling kits are performing. I have found 3 major brands. Here are the 3 that I found, Poly by Daystar, Tuff Country steel, and Sky Jacker springs. I would like to hear about any other brands that are worth looking into. Would like to know which one everyone prefers? How the truck rides? Any problems with? Cost of each and where purchased? Any other mods that must be done along with? And will my 9000's still be long enough? Also do the Sky Jacker springs give a 2" lift? I read on different sites that the daystar are 2 1/2" is this true? Any input would be greatly apreciated thanks. . Dwayne

I just tok my Daystars out for the winter, as I went back to stock size tires to pull my new snowmobile trailer (29' overall length). I normally like the Rancho products for the Dodges, but I was VERY happy with the Daystars. I just went out to the Garage and measured the daystars, and they do appear to be 2 1/2", not 2". my truck did sit level to just a touch nose high with the spacers, which is why I took them out for winter, so it will sit level with the trailer on the back. The Daystars are nice du to you do not use the rubber insulator, as the springs seat right up into the urethane pocket in the spacer. the spacer also has 3 studs out the top for the shock tower, no chance of cross threading a threaded hole , like in the other style spacers. Also with a spacer instead of the spring, you use your factor spring, so no change in rode Quality. I used the stock shocks with the spacer, so your 9000's should not have a problem. The stock shocks were too close to the end of the stroke so they lost some of the bounce control. I would recomend a new track bar, like a D>T Track bar. I did not change mine, and I could hear the front control arm bushings squeaking due to the side load stress . Don't forget to get an alignment when the spacers go in...

Who's Daystar?

My truck is sagging in the front. I have 155,00 miles on it now. Where or how do I get Daystar poly spacers? Is there a web page? Or a phone # I can call?

Try a local 4X4 shop or J. C. Whitney should be able to get them for under $200 I have them and like them.

Daystar Leveling Kit for sale on eBay, ends tomorrow!

I have the Daystar kit on one Ram and would do it again. Lawdog is correct about the 2. 5 inch measurement but on my truck it raised it only 2. 125 inch due to the difference in height subtracted from the parts removed. I used stock length Rancho 9000 shocks and while I've not had a problem, I'd recommend longer shocks. Purchased mine for a good price on eBay and believe that the set for sale there now is by the same folks. They gave quick service. Search:

My axle shifted 3/8 inch left with stock trackbar. Truck sits nice but not quite level when empty. Could be my front springs were weaker then most as this truck does not have the snow plow prep. Lowering the rear end may make more sense if you tow but the Daystar has worked for me.

Very happy with my choice (see sig).

They run about 130 bucks on-line.

I perfer a metal lift with the weight of the Cummins.

My lift was right at 2".

Tuff Country spacers work great. Truck sits great. Not sure I would trust any thing but steel spacers because of the weight of the powerplant. Just my opinion.

The guy that owns a local 4x4 shop showed me a set of the ones that were made of some sort of urethane or plastic and had started cracking. I guess they're not strong enough to support the weight of the Cummins.



The guy did like I did and went straight for the replacement coils.
