What can I expect putting in the 2" Poly leveling kit?

Do I need new shocks ?

Has anyone installed this kit and run into problems?

Thanks

JIM

Yes you will need longer shocks, I used Bilstein, some use rancho's

Did you look into the Sky Jacker D25 shocks?

I looked at the spacers but they were on average about$125, while the springs were $149 through www.offroadwarehouse.com

If you tell them you are a member of the TDR they will give you a discount, at least they did for me.

D25's

Just skip the spacers and go with the springs. I used both and am much happier with the springs, better ride. As mentioned you will need longer shocks and if you plan to go to 35" tires there is a good chance you will need longer links... . Good luck:cool: :D

You can expect..... 2". (Sorry, couldn't resist. )

I had it done on my truck. I did get new shocks, but you don't have to. However, it's recommended.

I installed the kit about a year ago in my 3500, but went with the steel ones instead of the poly ones. I also went with the bilstien shocks. The only problem I had was it increased the severity of the famous "Death Wobbles". Why, I don't know. So I installed the Luke's Link and the Darrin Tessier stabilizer kit. After that it was fine. Just thought I'd stick my two cents in. Good Luck!!

I have leveling springs on my truck and I run the stock length Bilsteins. They have not topped out yet.

Go with the springs. Skip the spacer.

Although no absolutely neccessary, I added DT's 1/2" forward upper and lower control arms to re-center the axle in the wheelwell. Lifting the front 2" will pull the front axle towards the rear of the truck. Not real noticeable. If you are not looking for it you won't see it.
