Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Boost gauge never reads zero

got a couple of questions guys, I'm hoping to get a set of 275's in the near future, what I'm wondering about is do I need more boost to make them work better or a boost fooler or fiddle with the wastegate? what is the best way to get the most out of the 275's? thanks... ... ... .

Read my sig.

I think this combo is great it runs really well and has plenty of power. No problems with EGTs. I have run truck with just the EZ and with just the 275s its way better with both. I have the waste gate disabled with the turnbuckle method I can pull 34 lbs of boost but rarely do. In my opinion if you have the auto you need to upgrade the transmission. This is just one off many combos available but I consider it a safe and sane addition to an already great truck. JMHO

RichB:) :D

Well almost time to fill up again and its looking good! I've got 430 miles on this tank and a little over 1/4 of a tank left, for me, I usually am filling up with 26-27 gallons @ 400 miles on the nose. My light comes on exactly at 10 gallons left in the tank. Funny thing is this tank was alot of in town driving which is abnormal for me and I drove it pretty hard! :D I am anticipating about 19. 5 to 20 mpg! :D :D

Just a warning to ya' jrandol. NEVER TRUST YOUR FUEL GAUGE!!! The infamous Dodge fuel gauge is bound to get you. I would always set the trip odometer and drive by mileage just as a backup plan. There are too many post on this board involving fellow TDR members being stuck on the side of the road with "a quarter tank" according to the gauge.

I even know of a few Fords with this problem, so we aren't the only lucky ones. I never trust any fuel gauge to far.

Your mileage is looking great. I am really considering 275's and selling my EZ. The power is going to be similar, but the mileage looks way better. I'd run them both if I thought I could spill the cash for the DTT setup, but it isn't looking good for a while now.

Second Tank on 275's... ..... 18. 86. Little less than last tank probably because it was more than 60% in town miles and when on the interstate I was playing around with some gassers :D :D I think I will be anticipating a consistent 18. 5-19 or maybe slightly better if I could keep my foot out of it... ... ... ... ... . Na that aint gonna happen!!:D

Let me know if you're serious about that:D I can buy an adapter.

jrandol

Congrats on your new toy. It was neat watching the install, now I am chomping at the bit for either 275's or DD1's plus the Edge-EZ.

Sticks,

Great meeting you there as well. Did you get the US Gear Exhaust Brake put in yet? I am loving these injectors. Nice part is they werent a hard sell to the "money manager" since the fuel mileage is up ;) Now I just have to convince her the guages will save some bucks as well

Three smokey burnouts later... ... ... ... ... ...

I think we can put jrandol down for one Edge Comp:D :D :D :D

Oh, maybe some transmission parts also.

NO DOUBT mgoncalves!! :--) That was a blast!! Pump Wire untapped and those tires lost an 1" of tread! :D Hours later I am still feeling the effect your box. Unfortunate thing was how weak my truck felt on the way home. Gotta get more juice! Thanks again for letting me test before buying with your box. Chalk me down as a certified Bomb nut. Hmmm. . how to open up the money managers mind... ... . Anyone want to buy a slightly used liver??

Nope. Just figured out the electrical, performed the bench test, and have it mounted in the truck. Waiting patiently for Kevin Arts to get back in town with some spare time to install the brake unit. Don't know if I am going to make it. I may have to kill a day and go solo.

Let me know the magic words you used on the "money manager" for the injectors:D. My only other option is make some secret money and ship the parts to a loaner address. What she dosen't know, won't hurt her. I just have to keep it easy on the go pedal when she is in the truck. Problem being, secret money is SLOW in the coming. Maybe a cardboard sign at the nest RMTDR meeting saying "Will work for injectors"Oo.
