Ok I have a banks ottomind and it requires a thermocouple to work properly,I have a autometer pyro gauge, autometer & banks tell me that I cant pigyback the gauge & ottomind on one thermocouple due to resistance, inaccurate readings. so I thought about adding another tcouple in the other port of the manifold (both pre turbo). Has anyone ever done this, will it weaken the manifold? any other drawbacks? any other suggestions? THANKS FOR ANY AND ALL HELP.

I have a pyro piggybacked to two gauges, a DiPricol EGT gauge and my TST Powermax (much like the ottomind you're looking at). What we did was run two sets of lead wires to the thermocouple and saw very little change in displayed EGTs - about 10 degrees low. We did a number of tests on TST's dyno and that difference was consistent throughout the sweep of the gauges. At one time someone posted on here about a thermocouple that had two sets of leads coming out of it which would you would then run seperate leads to.

Thanks for the info Steve,I already have the thermocouple that came with the gauge, if I wanted to go ahead and run 2 tcouples would it be ok to have 2 holes in the manifold? or do any of you recomend aginst it. since im adding gauges, does anyone have a clue what the boost #s should be with the banks ottomind programed for the powerpack? I know hardly anybody runs banks products  , but maybe somebody can give me an idea. THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Steve, Thanks for the help.

I finally installed the gauges and piggybacked the pyro and ottomind on the tcouple. It seems to work well. On level ground at 50mph egt's are between 600 and 650. I did make it to 1300 after running WOT from dead stop to 2900rpm in 4th gear, but it didn't seem to want to go any higher:) Boost quickly reaches 26lb within a sec or two and holds steady, I thought that 26lb was a little low what do ya'll think? Boost at 50mph is zero. someone please let me know if these # sound right or not.

PS. these runs were with stock air filter, BHAF is going back on tomorrow to see what happens. I want a comp & injectors

:D :D

Is your wastegate disabled or not. If it is than you are definately low on boost #'s. I believe an ottomind from a powerpack is considerably more aggressive then the EZ/TTPM yet I was reaching 33lbs of boost with the TTPM and disabled wastegate.

Chipstien

it has the 38# wastegate from banks, but it might not be doing its job. is there some way to check it,or should I use some other means of disabling? I have checked all clamps and duct work, all is well.

THANKS FOR ANY ADVICE!
