Hey guys. I'm in the process of ordering wet okole seat covers for my 04 ram, so my rottweiler doesn't tear up my pretty leather.

They have two questions that must be answered before I can get the order moving. Please let me know if you have a concrete answer only!!!

1. I ordered the side impact airbags. Are these airbags stored/deployed from the side of the seat, or from the doors?

2. The seat belts, do they come out of the seats themselves, or are they mounted on the side of the vehicle?

Thanks much!!

Dave

On the 03's the side impact air bags are not in the seats, they are in the doors. And the seat belts are not in the seats either.

I hope that helps.

That more than helps, that just about DOES IT! :D Thanks, just needed to know those two things. They custom fit/make the seat covers to each vehicle, and if you have side airbags that reside in the side of the seat, such as my jetta TDI did, they will allow for that in the design of the seat cover. My jetta's seat covers had big 'holes' for lack of better word on the sides, to allow them to deploy.

I had the seat covers on my jetta for 59k, and with the rottweiler in all the time, and constant abuse from me, they still looked new. The leather underneath was BRAND NEW, not even any wrinkles or dimples from butts:p They are waterproof (neoprene like wetsuits) and do not hold heat. I had full black seat covers in my TDI, and all day in FL, you could sit right down on them. Yes they're warm, but no where near the skin scorching temps that leather gets in FL sun...

best of all - They are putting in custom Cummins logos on the front covers

Not sure about listing the link here, email me folks if you want the site of the seat cover company.

I'm not certain, but I think they are in the headliner near the doors. There seems to be a bump near each window that I thought was for the bags. Of course, I could be wrong.

Belts aren't run thru the seats. (Floor and pillar)

EDIT: Center rear seat shoulder strap is thru the seat back if I remember right.
