I am considering a 4500 or 5500 4x4 truck for towing. One problem I have is in order to park my 5th wheel trailer next to my house I need to reverse up my cul-de-sac, up hill in to my driveway. Currently I have a F250 with manual locking hubs. I put it in 4-Lo and leave the hubs unlocked. I can push my 13,000 lb fifth up the hill no problem. I am wondering how I can do this if I buy a new Dodge.
I know I can customize the transfer case but I was hoping someone know how to do this an easier way, like put a switch in the wire going to the transfer case such that it would go in to low range but not lock in the front drive shaft.
Anyone got some good ideas here.
