What is the most interesting thing you have seen laying in the road?

That is absolute garbage. Should there be repercussions, most certainly, but two years in jail, I think not. There is the letter of the law to examine as well as the spirit of the law. So now this mother of two will be away from her children for what? Ice throwing that didn't harm a soul?

Here we go, I was pretty much right, except for the time served. At least the judge has a brain.

Woman In 'McMissile' Case Wanted In Colorado

Cup-Throwing Culprit Awaits Extradition

POSTED: 11:17 am EST February 18, 2007

UPDATED: 1:19 pm EST February 21, 2007

STAFFORD, Va. -- A woman set for release after her conviction for throwing a cup of ice into another car in Stafford County is now awaiting extradition to Colorado on an outstanding warrant, News4's Chris Gordon reported.

Authorities learned about the outstanding warrant on Wednesday after a judge told 25-year-old Jessica Hall that the two months she has been in jail is enough. The judge told her she would be on probation and not have to serve a recommended two-year sentence, said Gordon, who was in the courtroom.

Hall thanked the judge and then hugged her lawyer and broke down in tears, Gordon said. Her three children, ages 4, 6 and 8, were also inside the courtroom.

Hall was being sentenced for "maliciously throwing a missile into a vehicle," according to court records. Her crime was flinging a McDonald's cup of ice into a car that had cut her off on the highway, police said.

Hall had told investigators she was mad when it all happened last summer but never expected this.

She said a car driven by a D. C. man merged in front of her twice on Interstate 95, as she, her kids and her pregnant sister were driving to New York.

Hall flung the McDonald's cup over her car and into the other car, where it flew across the driver and landed all over his girlfriend, according to court records.

"It feels horrible. It feels like I'm a criminal," said Hall.

When Hall was convicted, a Stafford County judge instructed the jury that any physical object can be a missile and be propelled by any force, including throwing.

"There were some people who teased me and called me McMissile girl," Hall said.

Nice to see she has a warrant though... I wonder what that's for?

Does this mean that throwing a paper wad in the office gets you 2 in the slammer?
