Is anyone running a 20" wheel tire combination on their rig. Thinking about it would like to see photo's first before spending the $$$. Thanks

i would love to run 20's [i have fallen for the american racing mojave series teflon coated 20x10's] but they don't have enough backspacing :( . tire will either be a 325/50/20 toyo proxis s/t or a nitto 305/55/20 terragrappler. now if they put 6" backspacing on those wheels, my walled will be empty for long time :D:D

THere's lots of wheel choices if you don't mind having them stick out a mile beyond the fender and trying to cover them up with huge fender flares like a lot of people do. Not to mention accelerated front suspension/steering wear.

If 18" is OK with you check with T-Rex engineering, they carry proper-offset Weld wheels that keep the tires tucked in where they belong. Only T-Rex carries them, you can NOT get these Weld wheels from Weld.

What is the offset on the KORE wheels? Eagle is coming out with quite a few wheels, 20X8. 5 with around 5. 5" BS.

I have Eagle Alloys series 114 20x10 on Nitto Terra Grapplers 325/60/20. I love the look and so do a lot of other people, not to brag but ever weekend night on the town I cant go home without a few compliments. I have the Tuff Country 4. 5" lift. I do rub the bottom of the bumper when fully turned one way or the other when on a twist, flat ground it does not touch. Pulling my dads 23' center console or a buddies skid loader then it dont ever rub. A little sacrifice sometimes but i love it anyways. If I knew how to download pics I would show you a pic. just my $. 02

I have a six inch and 37" Toyo's on 20's and they did the same thing. I just moved the front bumper forward 3/4" with washers. The bumper is just for looks ( have you ever looked at it close?) and the tow hooks stay hooked to the frame. They are just in the plastic a little more, you can still get a strap on it if you had to. No more tire rubbing the bumper and no one has noticed the bumper is forward. By the way I have 20x9's with a -12 offset and they work pretty good. I do have flares but the big 13. 50's are under them.

Vortex,

I have been looking at going with 20" s as well however, I quickly found a couple of things.

1) I don't like the "street" look as much as I thought I would.

2) The difference in tire price between 20"s and 18"s was unbelievable!!!

3) I don't have a lift, only a leveler and I don't want a lift at this point as my truck fits in the garage.

In the end, I think I will be sticking with my H2 wheels although I might go with a 325 next time out instead of a 315.

I run a Moto Metal 954 wheel 20x10 with a 305/55/20 nitto terra grappler. I have a leveling kit but had to trim my inner fenders aliittle bit. I think if I went with a 20x9 it would have cleared.

If someone would make a black paint that would shed dirt and never need to be washed, I'd have a black truck for sure

Sometimes you see a truck and it just looks right. Everything in proportion, just enough accessories, and just the right stance. This truck just looks cool.

Here's michaelRitz's truck:

Keep em comin fellas.

Someone needs to throw up one of diggers old truck... dub2's.

Can you take some pic with the front wheel fully turned?

Does the tires rub on the control arm or fenders?

Awesome truck.

BP: Thanks for the compliment.

As for the pic, sorry but my 20's are off for the winter. I'm rollin the stockers through all the Michigan salt. They'll make a showing come april though. :D

As for the fit, even with a 10 in width, the negative offset keeps em out of the control arms with my tire combo. There was a little interference with the outside of the tire rubbing the fender at full lock. (Visualize from pic in readers rigs. ) Primarily the portion of the fender thats rolled in where the plastic fender liner mounts. I "alleviated" this with an old T-shirt wrapped around a baseball bat. Think gently prying/tweaking against tire, not swinging. No cutting.

It works for what I do. If I aggressively off-roaded, I'd have to do some cutting as full compression, full lock wouldn't clear. I'm getting flares this spring and will likely have to modify them a little to make em work with this combo. I would advise them if looking at a combo with a similar offset, it'll "finish it off" and keep the dirt off the side of the truck.

Pictures really are worth 1k words. :-laf

Truck looks great! Which leveling kit did you use? Any problems with it? Was the installation easy?

Thanks fellas,

The link to the wheels:

I got the 20x10, 4 5/8 Backspace. - 21mm offset. They are in no way close to the stockers. While some prefer to tuck em up under the truck, I wanted a stocky-er look and didn't mind coverin' em up with flares (TBA). Different strokes...

Sorry for the junk in the back, its a truck. I dug this up to illustrate the offset. Hope it helps.

The leveling kit is a KORE. Though it didn't make my truck ride like a Maybach as some would lead you to believe, it is a good improvement over stock, and far superior to a puck style leveling kit in respect to ride. Its quite a bit more expensive than a puck style, but ya get what ya pay for. Install was easy enough. To my own detriment, I decided not do disassemble the front end as far as the instructions said, so the longer springs took a little coaxing to drop in the pockets. Just basic hand tools, a jack, and some stands is all you need to get the job done. A pickle fork helps, but a block of wood and a hammer 'l get ya there too. :) With a buddy it'll only take ya a couple hrs max, more if ya stop for a cold one. So far so good, no trouble with the kit at all. :D
