Hello,
I was hoping I could get a little advice on this since I am not as familiar with the 24v as I am the 12v.
I replaced the LP on my cousin's truck(2000, auto, 279,000) The old one did not have any fuel pressure. It also smoked alot of white smoke revving up at an idle, in park or neutral. I replaced it(LP) and it seemed to run alot better, alot stronger and it did not miss as much at first. It will still miss alot when revved up, alot of white smoke, but will run good down the road, no missing.
I checked all the connections, and fuel lines, and the only place where I could tell it might suck air was the plastic fuel filter cap, I know I didn't tighten it down too tight, it looks like someone may have used the 1/2" drive part at one time, it is broke on that part.
I also checked the codes, none except 1693, on the odometer, then I disconnected the batteries for 30min to clear them(not sure if it did?) yes/no
When I was at town I went to autozone, and they hooked up the scan tool.
This is what came up.
PO234 Turbo boost limit exceeded
PO1689 No communication between ECM and Injection pump module
PO236 Map sensor too high too long
On the 1689, I did have the fuel system relay out, but before I disconnected the batteries(if that accomplished anything). It seemed to be real hot for the truck not running but a minute??
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Steven
