2000 5sp.-vs-2002 6sp.HO mileage?

Am I making a major sacrifice changing from a 2000 5 speed to a 2002 6 speed HO in fuel mileage?

Not IMHO. I had a 2001. 5 5 speed that I traded 6 months later for a six speed. Cost me some $$$, but I really like the 6 speed, especially for towing. It's awsome with the 4. 10 axles.

Thanks, for the input. I was thinking about getting the 6 speed when I bought the 2000, but since it was on allocation when I ordered it, I was concerned with its reliablity. Since that time I guess it has proven itself... . Still concerned about the fuel mileage comparison with 2000 against 2002 HO.

Mine will vary anywhere from 19. 5 to 24 depending on how much of a hurry I'm in.
