My brother has a 2000 dually with 100,000 the truck has a puck and a intake with staight pipe, he wants more but is unsure of the transmission. What upgrades are needed to hold to the 375hp range he does some pulling and the trans is serviced every 25,000 it is still in good shape no slippage. He just wants an upgrade before he damages it. What is needed. He might not go to 375hp but he does want to add some 80hp injecters. The vb and torque converter upgrade I'm sure but witch one and can it be done at a reasonable dollar amount?

Thanks Jared

Jared, There are several good companies doing Trans. rebuilds which will go the miles behind the high H. P. and Torque of a modified Cummins. I went with ATS, but there is also Goerends, BD, Suncoast, DTT and a few others. Have your brother call 'em all and go with the people you are comfortable with.

Clint Cannon's number at ATS is 800-949-6002

Here is a thread I posted when I got back from ATS in Denver a year ago.

With 100,000 miles on the trany he will need more than a tc and valve body. I bet the clutch packs are worn. Might as well do it right the first time. Check out all the vendors and then he should buy what he feels comfortable with. There are many loyal trans people in the TDR. :D
