Allison conversion help

I thought I would start a post and let you guys know that I am doing a allison swap in my truck. I am starting with a rebuilt built up engine, twins and converting to a built Allison with converter. I will post some pics when I figure out how to do it. Brayden has been helping with this as he is the allison guru. I am getting close to putting everything together but I will keep you all posted :) Oo.

i second the motion... i can only dream... please let me live vicariously through your exploits... . i'd love to hear the low down on your successfull transplant!

I need to find out how to post some pics. some help would be appreciated. I love Dave's stuff. I just didn't like the way my transmission shifted according to what the engine was doing. We tried to fix it, and I finally said "screw it" I am going to put in an allison. Also I would have had to put billet shafts throughout the 47re which is about 1,800 big ones. I have Dave's triple disc for the allison now too! The allison is fully built and should be able to withstand the 650 + hp that I will be running in my new motor. I should be putting it in the truck next week but I would love to show you guys some pics of everything i am doing so you can see. It is an expensive swap to do, especially when I completely went through the transmission and built everything up. What I love about the allison is that if I don't like the shifting or anything, it is a computer away from fixing it.

i am up against wall on transfercase choice in my allison swap . . i made mistake of goin with gm based allison its 29 spline but big diameter. . hope yours goes better.

can you use a old 205 np devorsed case? my 72 dodge has one and it sure makes it nice for engine swaps.

i am using the d-max t-case. It will work with our trucks. I am just converting over to a electronic 4x4 setup. No biggie!!

here are some pics of my twins I am building for the allison:#ad

i am sorry i haven't updated in a while, but everything is hooked up and running. I will try to post some pics soon. The transmission is just incredible. It is awesome and I am so glad I did this swap. Oo. I still have some bugs to work out but I have been driving it for 2 weeks now without any problems. It is the tighest transmission I have felt by far. I a whole stage 4 kit in the transmission with a goerand's triple disk converter and it is nothing short of amazing. I am running about 650+ hp out of my truck now and no slippage what so ever. I will be at IRP friday until sunday morning. Feel free to stop over and check it out. My name is Gabe and I will give my number upon request if you want to check it out. :-laf

The guy can install an Allison in a Dodge, wire it up, etc. . But can't post pics ;) ... Email them to me if you want and I'll host them for you.
