Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 2000 Ram / Comp box surg problem

:-{} I have a problem I am not real serg why. I have other mod's on my 2000 24 valve Ram. The last few weeks I seem to get something like a "serg" when I put my foot into it. Works fine with C/B off. If I set the box at 1... ... . 2>3>4> not too bad with surg

2... ... 2>3>4>5 at top RPM get surg.

3... ... 4>5 get some surg

4... ... 1>2 get some surg

5... ... . 1>3>4 some surg

runs best at # 3 and 2>3 setting. I was told it could be a bad ground or I might need to cut the "BOOST " back some. It does this off and on "NOT" all the time. Other then this off and on it works really great. Any idea on what might help this. One question ( CAN YOU USE ELECTRIC POINT CLEANER ON THE ENDS? Thanks SAM

Mine was doing this for the better part of 6 months, finally I moved the ground to the battery and the problem hasn't been back since.
