does anyone have a 2000 ram wire diagram?

the low beam stopped working on the passenger side and it's not the bulb. Now i have to track it down and it would make it much easier if i had one. going on a long trip next week and want to take care of this ASAP.

Please e-mail it to me if you can -- email address removed --

i can get PDF's or whatever. thank ahead of time!

Your model year 2000 Ram uses switched ground for the head lights. Twelve volts is always present at the bulb sockets. Since you don't complain about high beams not working, I'll assume 12 volts is available to both bulbs.

The only place your problem can be is:

1. The socket

2. The bulb

3. The violet/white wire from the socket to Joint Connector No. 1 in the Power Distribution Center

Everything after Joint Connector No. 1 is common to both bulbs.

Even though you state that the bulb is good, I'm voting on the bulb. Try swapping bulbs and see if the problem follows the bulb.

Good luck!

i don't have a sport model so i only have 1 bulb for both high and low beam. high beam does work though just not the low beams... and i already tried switching bulbs first thing i did. i made sure it worked on the drivers side

I checked your profile. My information assumed a non-Sport Ram.

You can easily check the socket and violet/white connection to the socket by piercing the violet/white wire near the socket and providing a ground at that point. The low-beam filament should light.

Okay this is what i got.

Broke out the test light and turned the head light switch on (low beam) driver side still working passenger side not. put test light on neg. side battery and then probed the vt/wt wire and test light lit up. went to frivers side to check to make sure same thing happened and it did... . so not i'm confused cause figuring the buld was not on on passenger side i figured if something bad IE: socket i wouldn't get anything on that side right? I do know that the vt/wt wire is joined at some point with the drivers side but being i tested right at the socket wouldn't it still work?

Any help would be great thanks!

i think i'll run a jumper from the drivers side just to make the other side see the same and that will tell me whats bad

all is well again thanks for all the help.

the idiot who owned my truck prior had a plow set-up on it and when ripping everything off remove some of the wire casing and it finally corroded except three strains  surprised it lasted as long as it did
