2001 2500 quadcab

Hi guys,I'm new to this forum. I've been over on the 1st gen for awhile. I'm thinking of upgrading. I found a 2001 2500 quadcab with 15,000 miles on it for $26,000. It's perfect and loaded. Does this seem like a good price? It's a big step for me,but I'm starting to get excited and might have a hard time saying no. Any advice would be a big help

I think that you would like the newer truck. Remember though, you don't get the fuel economy that you get with the first gen. truck:{ ! It is sure easy to get more POWER with the 24v.

satmike, I'm new to this forum too. In fact your my first reply to a post!!! FYI, I bought a 2001 2500 QC SLT LB in December 2001

for $26,000. It was the last one on the Dodge Dealers lot and had 1800 miles on it. Never titled out just demo miles. So far so good. Just rolled it over on 10,000 miles. I LIKE THIS TRUCK!!

Might be a little expensive considering the miles but sounds within the range. I'm not an expert on pricing though. I looked at the 2002's at the same time. The lowest I could get any dealer to go on those were $32,000. I took the 2001 for $6000 less. Good hunting... ... ... ... .....

We have a 2001 quad cab TDR 4x4, 6 speed. It is the wife's truck. You have many web sites available to check and compare prices. ie. Kelly Blue Book for used, dealers for new--Melton and others. We bought our 2001 with 20,000 miles, production date June 2000. At one year old we paid more than $26,000. What trim package do you have on the truck? Check all your options and carefully check your gear ratio. Do you want an auto or manual? Are you going to tow? Check the production date? Note production date, and check the rear brakes. Ther are lots of threds that have been done on this topic with variations on engine RPM at cruise, fuel economy, power, etc. Be honest with yourself. Have fun with what ever new truck you buy. I would have really liked the rear disc brakes but the price difference was just too much.

I talked to Bossier Country the other day and was quoted $26500 for a loaded 2002 2500 QC. Everything but leather and the CD player(I have one to transfer into it). This was for an ETC/5 speed.
