Okay guys i have 154,000 miles on truck, the last couple weeks at times the starter seems to be dragging to start. And it take a couple starts to get it going, all battery posts are clean and tight. Both batteries have been tested a couple times and is 12.80 volts. At startup the voltage drops to about 10.50 volts. Is the started on its way out are i need to check something else on truck.

You can rebuild the starter yourself. Kits can be purchased here.> http://www.fostertruck.com/dodge/starters/rebuild-kits.html
Just a shot in the dark but it is probably the brushes. If you are not comfortable in doing the rebuild, then find a place that specializes in doing rebuilds, and have your starter rebuilt.
The starter that came with your truck is better than any rebuilt one you are going to buy, IMO. The quality control on rebuilt automotive parts at big box stores is not what it was in the past.

Also Larry Bs is another place to get a rebuild kit. I put one in my truck 50k ago and is still doing good. I agree with above post rebuild the starter instead of replace.

not much on soldering the leads, before i get started is there a certain type of solder needed and just the regular heat gun.

Dont forget to check for corrosion on grounds and inside battery cables. Corrosion will cause voltage drop too. Try to isolate the drop by testing pre and post connections.
