I officially joined the "waiting list" today. As soon as the 6 spd goes off restriction, my order will take it's place in a long line. I'm waiting for a 3500 QC 4X,slt/sport (silver), ETH-DEE, and the normal options for a TDR member.

OK... Joining the Club. Did'nt think about being in THIS soon, but am ordering my 2nd Cummins in 3500 trim as of today.
Rather depressing to see the horror stories, let's hope all goes well.
I just could not pass up $500 over invoice, $1000 discount and $500 farm discount with EVERYTHING I've always wanted.

I'll be honest and say I definitely was considering Ford Power Stroke, even after owning my 97 Cummins. All considered, they're pretty close in all departments. I finally went with the DC 2001. 5 because it's what I know, and I have some BOMBing equipment that will be a direct fit.
I honestly know this truck will be everything I want, just hope all goes smooth and hope the truck isn't built on Fri. or Mon. Dropping this kind of money is SERIOUS, I hope DC is also. I'll post an update and more info if anyone is interested.

KatDiesel, Thanks for all your help, it's nice knowing someone can give us the REAL scoop and takes the time to actually track our trucks while they are on rails. I've been watching every day and printing the status reports. I have a file that shows each little 'railroad town' the train passed through on it's trip from St. Louis to Phoenix. A friend at work used to work for UPRR and explained all the little towns that don't really exist on any map except UPRR's.

I spoke to my dealer yesterday, they have already called the yard in Phoenix and arranged to have my truck 'red-flagged' so it gets offloaded and trucked to Tucson with the first batch of vehicles. Otherwise it could sit for days in a holding lot up there while they build loads for various towns in AZ.

#adThanks Mick. I picked it up yesterday. I have been in the garage all morning (as well as out driving around a bit). Only mods so far are added splash guards. I have a slight pull to the left so they are going to have to check that out, otherwise, everything seems hunky dorie. That's good isn't it? I think I am going to love this truck. Ordered July 8th, picked up Sept. 8th. Hope yours arrives soon.

think you should take a little ride out 166 to Santa Maria and then run over to Guadalupe to treat yourself to a good steak! Glad your enjoying your new toy.

!!Just joined the TDR, and this is my first post, but I joined the Waiting Club back on 7/31. Immediately went on restriction, but it was built yesterday and should be arriving in a couple of weeks.
What a great source of info. Not surprisingly, I knew quite a bit more about the trucks than any of the dealers I talked to did.
Looking forward to half a million or so miles!

Things are starting to move, finally! Ordered (2nd time) on 08-08-00, Called today and I am D1, scheduled to built the first week in October in St. Louis. Now the waiting really begins.

E-Brake goes on @ delivery time, Bed comes off and will be replaced by a custom aluminum work body / flat bed. Ordered on 03-28-00. Re-ordered on 08-08-00 (at least I got a VON already the second time)

Shelby, your truck will likely be built at the same time mine will. I ordered on 9/5, called on 9/7 and they told be I was a D1 - scheduled for the first week of october... to be build in St Louis. I called again on 9/11 (yesterday) and got the same response... must be true.

Callled today. D1 with a scheduled ship date of 19SEPT2000. Last week I was "c" with a build date sometime during the first week of October!!! I'm not complaining except that I was so excited over the news that I forgot to ask where it will be built. After several attempts to reconnect to DC (line busy) I gave up. I did confirm the DC info with the dealer.
