2001.5 hood insulation deleted???

Hi all, I just read a post by another member about deleted options on 2001. 5. A couple of new 3500 owners noticed the deletion of hood insulation on their trucks. Has anyone with a 2001. 5 2500 noticed this? I have a 2500 due in next week and I will be really ticked if its missing part of its sound proofing-

If it does not have it and the demo did don't take the truck until they put it in... ... ... . phuck um! There is no reason in the world that one should have to take a brand new truck home to work on it!

Hood insulation is an "option"? Ya gotta be kidding! Darn near 40k and its an option!

Been reading the same thing on the Dakota websites, Seems all the hood insulation is gone!! They are even leaving off the Quadcab & V6/V8 badging on the Dakota's.

Remember it all started with the body molding, its easy to spot a 00-01. 5, they don't think any doors or shopping carts will hit you in the pickup bed area.

Think I'll just stick to my Antique Dodge Trucks until they get there act together!!

My 2001. 5 2500 is missing the hood insulation but I do have the passenger side grab handle and rear cup holders. Can’t say I would want the hood insulation, it traps heat and collects dirt. Thought you guys liked all that engine noise!

It's true for the 2500's, too. Check my signature. Mine is missing the hood insulation and the rear cup holders. It does have the passenger grab bar. Mine was built the of April.
