Since the search feature is down (and I forgot to bookmark these posts before), can someone give me the part number for the kit to add clearance lights to a 2001?

I've got a couple of numbers written down, but I'm not sure if they are for the new style lights or the old ones.

Thanks,

JM

Part Number

I had the same question a few weeks ago. Here is what I found.

P/N 55077067

This is for the newer style clearance light only. There is no kit available for the newer style. The kit that is available is only offered with the older sytly light. So I guess I will be fabricating my own wiring harness. I will also have to locate the lights wihout the template since there is nothing available from Dodge.

I have talked with some other members that have said that the install is not too difficult without a template.

Hope this helps.

So is this the part number for the entire light fixture (mounting base and lens)?

Any chance of the old wiring harness still working with the new lights? If it doesn't, making a new one shouldn't be that difficult.

Do the 2001s have the spots stamped in underside of the roof for where lights go? And what do you have to do to drop the headliner to get access to the roof on the inside?

As far as I know it is for the entire light fixture.

I think that the harness should still work. Although it may be cheaper to fabricate your own.

I believe there are some indentations for locating the lights above the headliner. I don't know how the headliner is removed since I have not done the installation yet.

Mopar Parts shows part# 82205120 msrp:$79. 00

This is for 2002, with five lights. I talked to a parts man last fall about putting a set on my truck (2001) and was told that if you had a rear cargo light, the wiring harness would plug into it.

That part number is for the older style light. It can be installed on the newer trucks but it does not give the newer look

Does anyone have a template from a clearance light install that they would be willing to share?

I checked with the dealer today, and the newer style lights are $14 a piece. So I may just get five of them and forego the kit. I haven't got around to dropping the headliner to see if the spots are marked, but I figured it would be worth a shot to see if anyone had a template laying around.
