2001 Edge EZ Pulse Question

A friend of mine who bought his truck used with this chip already installed had a world of trouble with it recently so after 3 weeks in the shop he sold it. The shop working on it took the chip off and gave to him not marking where anything plugged in. He gave it to me to try and get rid of it and after finally figuring out what this little black box was, other than an Edge Product, I have some questions about it. The guy at Edge Products was even stumped after I described it to him. His boss finally told him what it was, how it plugged in, and the jumper settings. After searching the net I found it is adjustable from 40-90 horses. My question is what settings can be used safely for highway driving without guages?

Is the truck a white single cab 4x4?? My brother traded in his truck, and left the edge pulse installed. Traded it in Brownwood at Randolph. I wouldn't suggest anyone buy from those people.

Nah, the truck was bought locally in Waco. When the truck went south the diesel shop replaced the injector pump, the boost sensor, the ecm, and a couple of other things and the truck still would not pull the hat off your head. It had an extremely hard time just holding a hiway speed... . empty!! In town he couldn't get out of 4th gear because it wouldn't pull itself. 3 1/2 weeks later the shop was still clueless so he just bit the bullet and bought an '05 for a mere 800 smackers a month.

Should have replaced the crank sensor, would have solved the problem and saved your buddy alot of money. I have an '05 and yes, those payments are nice!

The shop he had working on the truck is not the most reputable around town. Frankly I wouldn't trust any of them around here. If there is ever a problem I can't fix on my '03 it's going straight to South Plains Cummins in Ft. Worth. If they can't fix it then it's a serious problem.
