these codes have been cleared and keep showing back up after each eng cycle, start/shutdown. the dealer said not to worry. the truck has a banks exh brake and exh and gauges, no other eng mods. thanks in advance for the help. also have been to two dealers and same story.

OBD codes

You can find what the error codes are at this site. http://www.obdii.com/codes.html

I can't imagine any dealer telling you to ignore a trouble code that keeps recurring. I would check with another dealer. If you don't get it fixed under warranty, you may have further trouble down the road that you will have to pay for.

codes

have looked up the codes. 1693 dtc in companion module, code 0573 not listed. he has been to two dealers, both owned by the same person. the dealer has been reluctant to put any of the codes on a work order. all other dealers are over 100 miles or so away.

codes

after a bit of research ie seems as though the banks exhaust brake is creating a fault code, that would be the p0573 code that does not show up in the dodge codes. the p1693 code would be set as a result of the p0573 code. the truck runs fine and has no other problems. he has asked banks about the codes and they said they would return his call many times and they never did. the brake is connected to the cruise cont wire and the p0573 code is related to the cruise cont. thanks for the help with the code and your input.
