Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 2001 ETH/DEE same for California?

I'm looking at a purchase of an out of state, 2001. 5, 3500, QC with the HO Cummins and the NV5600 six speed and register it in California. I know they offered this setup in California in 2001 with the same horsepower and torque, but does anyone know if there is a difference? Catalytic Converter? EGR? Will I have any problems with emmisions? Thanks a bunch.

I dont believe there is a difference in 2001, my truck is a california unit, and it does not have EGR or catalytic convertor, however, who knows what they do to the programming in the ECM

No difference in 2001. Only problem was availability. Took me 3 months to find someone who would order one, then took 5 months to be built and delivered...
