2001 2500 auto, 200k miles. Truck has been sitting for a month, now no start. The lift pump was relocated to the frame rail 40k miles ago and before it was parked it seemed to cycle longer then usual. Around 10 seconds or so, but the truck started and ran perfect. Now lift pump cycles on but no start. Truck cranks, wont fire. No smoke from exhaust, cranks normally. Im thinking possibly the fuel return check valve? Will be testing lift pump pressure soon, had a gage but it was removed by thieves when the truck was stolen. They took all the gages and I haven't replaced them yet. Any ideas are appreciated. Also, DTC P1693 prior to parking truck.

Loosen the banjo bolt where the fuel line connects to the VP-44 and cycle the lift pump, if you get fuel there tighten the banjo bolt and loosen two or three injector lines at the head and cycle again, if you get flow of fuel there, tighten injector nuts and it should fire. bg

I will give it a try. I have fuel up to and past the fuel filter, it seems like no fuel is getting to the injector pump but I will try that.

I may be wrong but I THINK our trucks will self bleed if you crank it while giving it half throttle. If you crack your injector lines becareful not to overtighten them like I did on mine. The torque specs if I remember right are like 14 ft lbs. If you overtighten them they might start leaking. If your fuel did drain back you might have air leaking in some where or your return valve could be stuck open. I use to leave my truck for 6 to 8 months while I was deployed and she fired up everytime.
