2001 power seat fix?

Anyone ever come up with way yo fix motors without buying new 900 dollar base? Thanks.

The products from 2en1garage work well, I recently replaced one of the motors in my 2006. Geno's has the kits as well.

Hey Diesel Dog, please let me know how you make out reinstalling the seat cushion. Im having a bear of a time with mine. I started a thread on it. BTW, seat motor went in no problem is about 20 minutes. Barry from 2men1garage sends you instructions with photos so its really easy.

Probably bit cold for me to tackle it right away. But I'll post it up. What's hard about seat pad?

Are you positive the seat motor is bad? Usually its the button contacts on the side of the seat. I had to take my buttons apart and clean off the contacts before to fix one of the settings not working.

Also carefully inspect the wiring harness where it passes over/through the metal frame. Mine had worn through the insulation and was shorting out, thus causing the resettable breaker in the inside fuse block to get really hot, hot enough to boil water and blister flesh.

I hit the switches on the side of the seats they make noise I guess the motors. The switch that lifts the front of the seat for tilting base works. I guess the other one lifts the back of seat base up and down. Front one that works seems weak.
