2001 Towing Mirror Installation

Just got done installing the "new" towing mirrors on my 99, and had two comments on installing them.
#1 Easiest mod I have done to my truck. Three bolts and the old ones where off and tighten the new ones on (along with an additional bracket). #ad

#2 MOPAR really sticks it to you on the yellow "flange" fasteners used to attach the door panel. Be careful when you remove them and you can reuse them. At $1. 00 apiece I think Dodge dealer parts departments should be professionally embarrassed at themselves. #ad

I purchased the trailer tow mirrors (P/N 82206157) last October. The package included six door trim panel fasteners. The instructions said to remove two fasteners per door—not the entire panel. I was pleasantly surprised to see that Mopar had included two more of the fasteners than I needed!

An easy, quick install.

how much did the kit cost and are they heated

M1A2 The price you got was to replace that mirror wiz1 you can go to your dealer ask for them in the accessary dept. But also go to www.mopar4less.com I got mine there for about 270. 00 shipped that was better than my dealer. #ad

I didn't by the Mopar Kit. The Dodge dealers in this area try and take as much money from you as possible after the sale. They wanted over $760, for the "parts".
I bought mine from a TDR member who wanted the normal mirrors. The towing mirrors are not heated or powered. But the do work great for their intended purpose and that is towing. Mine are vibration free as well.
