Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 2001 trans in a 1999?

Will an automatic trans from a 2001 work in a 1999 with no problems?I know they will bolt right in but are the electronics the same?

The electronics are not the same. The program for the 2001 is larger than the 99. The interior is the same but I don't think the plugs are the same.

it's a valve body thing though. Can be done for sure. I sold my ATS trans to a guy up north who's shop worked with ATS to make the needed changes between the valve bodies. I have the 99 in my 2001 as well and it works like a stock slush box. not real impressive that's for sure.
