2001 Truck problems?

56,000 miles on it now

Have had two failed lift pumps so far,a leaking tailshaft seal, and now a power steering leak that I haven't had time to take a look at. Should be a straightforward repair... .

No other problems at all.....

Zip, nothing, nada, it hasn't even hiccuped!!!!!

At 28K it is perfect, and that inludes three 3000 mile trips grossing over 19K.

(except for that "flapping" noise.

Just the ignition steering key/lock/barrel assembly on the steering column, that kept jamming and wouldn't let the key turn on, fixed under warranty. and everything's been as good as gold since.

No Problems at 12K miles

And the fuel mileage is getting better.

Oil leak because timing cover bolts loose - dealer R&Red front seal and found the real problem.



Blew off slave cylinder line and lost clutch. Had to be towed on the back of a Pherd RO/RO. Since BOMBed the slave cylinder. See thread.

Have noticed the side of the drivers leather seat cracking just above the controls - not decided what to do yet.

Close to 30,000 miles in 14 months. Dealer fixed a leaking pinion seal at about 7500 miles, other than that it has been better than snuff as they say. 21. mpg the road.

I usually tell them "Maybe if you feed your truck the right stuff, maybe it'll grow up to be a truck like this".

As far as problems (2)

1. Defective throttle postion sensor

2. Broken clock spring

Other than that, I wouldn't have it any other way.
