I tried to post this a while back in the classified, but it never showed up .

I am in need of the rear cup holder, which my 2002 is missing. Have a young child and we are heading out to Oregon next month, so I am looking to get one installed before the trip. If you have one you'd like to sell, let me know the details. :)

Thanks for your time.

I have a rear cup holder that came off my 2001. It was removed when the truck was new. email me if interested. -- email address removed --

another option....

I have the same truck and the same problem, but I was very happy with a $15 Rubbermaid center console from Walmart that has 2 adjustable drink holders, and a few storage compartments for the kids crayons, videos, headphones etc. This type of console attaches using the center seatbelt, but if you have more than 2 kids this won't be your answer.

I cant speak about the 02 but my 01 rear cup holder is very limited, its on the floor and will not fit may size drinks because of the location. I have considered an after market system that sits on the seat.

rear cup holder

Ditto on the store-bought, set 'em on the seat type. When the little feller's buckled in, he can't reach the floor mounted type anyway. The one I have is small enough to store under the rear when not in use, so it's always available, unbreakable too. I've messed around with few different types, simpler is better.

When I was growing up my Dad had a great solution for your problem. We could not eat or drink in his car. Matter of fact I don't know of any of my friends parents that allowed eating and drinking in their cars. Funny how things have changed over the years. Not saying that it is wrong to eat and drink in your truck but 40 years ago it was a different story. Get the Kid one of those no spill cups with the handle on them and when he needs a drink your wife can hand him the cup. You could hook up an IV and use the coat hanger over the rear quad cab door to hang the bag ;)

No Eating, No Drinking, No Problems

Right there with you Pit Bull!!!! I seem to remember the same thing with my parents. I have to allow eating and drinking in my truck now as I work out of it and seem to live in it. I do have a couple of co-workers who are definitely forbidden to drink in it though!

One major difference between our dad's truck and ours - dad never had a home theater system for the kids in the back seat ! Now that Star Wars is playing on DVD in the back seat, they want the sodas and popcorn to go with it. And who can really blame them, afterall, they could think of much better things to do than sit in a truck for hours on end while mom and dad navigate to some remote vacation spot.

In all honesty, it makes me nervous to see the kids with strawberry soda and cheetos (2 of the worst) in the back. But I don't mind so much when mama and I get a couple of quiet hours thanks to the movies and the backside of the sugar rush :D

No DVD's in my vehicles, the show outside the windows is better. If they are watching TV, they will miss the antelope, deer and elk, the hawks and eagles on the power poles beside the road, the coyote Dad almost ran over, the rattlesnakes sunning on the highway, not to mention the mountains, canyons, dust devils, thunderstorms and sunsets.
