:D :D :p Well yesterday was a good day. I parked the patrol car, and got in the other halfs Jeep GC to go home, and what do I see. A new 2002 4door long bed 1500 4X4, with a manufacturers plate on the back. The truck was silver with the chrome grill (SLT). Since this is the first oppurtunity I've had to see one driving on the road, I did a big u-turn, cut thru traffic, pull along side (wishing I was still in the police car), and ask the guy to pull over so I can check out the truck, which he gladly did. The driver was an employee at Dodge City (Warren Truck Assembly) here in Warren, MI. The guy let me sit in the truck, and showed me the power adjustable pedals( Very Cool), and even pulled out hhis golf clubs so I could check out the rear seat room. The truck felt very big inside, and it felt like you had a nice high seating position in the drivers seat. I adjusted the driver seat to what felt comfortable for me (I'm 6'0" and 225 lbs). I then jumped in the back seat, behind the just adjusted drivers seat. I have to say, I was impressed. I did not think there would be much room as they only added 3" to the cabs, but there was comfortable room. It was actually more comfortable and roomy feeling then the rear seat of our Grand Cherokee (1999). The rear seat position, feels Higher than my 2000 QC, so your legs get more hang, which I feel helps it feel roomier, as you legs do not need to go forward as much as with a lower seat. The truck definantly did not have the room as my friends 1994 GMC Crew Cab, but Ifelt comfortable sitting in the back, so my mysteryof if it is roomy enough or will I have to buy a Ford is over. I WILL be ordering a 2003 Dodge Cummins 4 door, as soon as possible, even though she won't be happy about it.

Sorry so long.....

lawdog... thanks for the report! I will not be in the market for a new truck in 2003, but it will be cool to see them if they actually come out.

I sure would love to see them come out with the concept power wagon, though!:D

Another couple of cool features on the truck were inside the front console, there were divider s that folded up or down to divide the center area into multiple smaller areas. They also designed in a hook into the dash, that was recessed, so it was flush, to hang like a garbage bag from or whatever .
