I have a new 2002 Quad-Cab, 6-speed, CTD with 2500 miles. During the last 500 miles it has developed a very irritating vibration in the accelerator pedal which honestly makes the truck miserable to drive. I'm really missing the '95 Powerstroke I traded in on the Dodge. Can anybody help? I'd like to become better educated regarding this problem before I visit a dealer.

A friend of mine test drove a 2002 model a while back and he noticed the accelerator pedal had a vibration too. I started to look up the problem myself and if I remember correctly, there might have been some TSB out on it, or the cause of it was very simple to correct. Check your throttle cable under the hood to see if it is getting engine vibration from anything in the area and you might just stumble on the solution.

Mine has the same problem. After about 40-50 miles at highway speeds, my foot will feel kinda numb.

I haven't found a solution yet though.

My dad's 2002 had a similar problem.

There are several topics on this board about your problem. Do a search and see what you can find. Dad ignored his and it went away. Either way, the dealer should fix it. Before you give up on this new Dodge, follow this site for a while and add a few mods. Lots of discriminating drivers are not happy with their 24 valve until they add a little power. (Edge EZ is a great start) Please read up then add some mods to your Dodge.
