I replaced all the balljoints on my 2002 Dana 60 front end. I had 67k miles on the stock brakes and replaced the pads and turned the rotors at the same time. The manual trans and exhaust brake really save the pads and rotors!!

One big change I found from earlier models is the rotor is not held in by the lug nut studs. Instead, it just sits over the wheel hub like a jeep front axle. I decided to sandblast and paint all the parts while I had it apart.

What's up CJ? I have replaced the ball joints on my '94, but the ball joints were in the knuckle, not in the inner C's, when did they change?

hey - not much!

The only balljoints I have seen installed into the knuckles are late model jeep dana 30 front axles. I have only worked on a couple dodge 60 front ends so I don't know much about them.

My 2002 housing also doesn't have the vaccum disconnect, it has a solid long side axle shaft. Although, the spline counts on both axles were 31 which I thought was odd.
