Hey guys i just installed a westach fp gauge on my truck 02 Ho 6spd any ways ive got about 12 psi at idle but i feel pretty sure i could run under 5 psi at wot, is this okay? i also have a superchip which is not installed now i took it off in the summer before i installed the Gauge, the reason i took it off was because my temp was getting hot past 220 why is this? also will the Superchip kill my FP if i put it back on? thanks for the help

I'd keep it above 10psi @wot to be safe. What kind of mods do you have done to your truck. exhaust, etc? It will help to diagnose problems if you add all of that to your signature.

My truck is stock except for i think the resonator (if that is what it is) is cut out and a kN filter in the stock air box i have a an grill guard with an winch mounted on it.

Does it overheat without the superchips? You may need to upgrade to a 4 inch exhaust and some guages wouldn't hurt either.

I doesnt overheat without the superchip, do i really need an EGT gauge with just the superchip. I dont understand why the superchip is making it overheat

If it were me I would have pyro, boost, and fuel press reguardless of mods. Depending on the power level you have it set on it might make it run hot but I don't think it would be designed to make it run that hot. I do know that they have certain settings that they tell you not to tow on. A free flowing exhuast and intake will make your engine run cooler as well as help mpg. Thats just my opinion.

I rarely tow if i do its only 6K but i always had put it on the correct setting for the load, Does this engine just run warm keep in mind i live in alabama and it was doing this with 100 degree days i wouldnt think an half inch increase in exhaust diameter will make that big a diffrence.

The egt's should drop maybe 200* or so by going to a four inch. I can tell you that above 90 or so my a/c us useless. When was the last time you changed our coolant? might do that too if its been a while.

Not sure about the coolant havent had it but for 16K has 70K on it now, never changed it myself better do that, Some times i wonder if my Tstat is sticking it seems like the temp guage goes up and down all the time
