Well here I am with mud on my face again. I said earlier that I would be going to the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, MI today, and would post pictures of the new Ram. Well, I do not have any pictures to post, The new truck was not there. I spoke to a couple of workers and to Jim Jurlow, DC dodge marketing boss, who stated that the truck was not being released at this show #ad

. The 2003 viper was released instead (cool car, but not a truck)... Mr. Jurlow stated that the truck SHOULD be released at the Chicago auto show in the beginning of February. Maybe we have a member in the Chicago area that could handle some photo's for us. Once again, sorry, but it was not my fault. (NOTE: there are some pretty cool concept vehicles there. . I believe you can link thru ... ... . car-truck.com

Thanks 4 the information. Sounds like dejavu from 1993 when I heard that the 4 door would be out in 1994 then 1995 then 1996 and so on.

Hey, you did everything right. Can't fault you for the wheels not showing up. The attempt at getting the photos is appreciated!

I could have told you that and saved you a trip. I was planning on going untill I heard that a couple weeks ago.

johnrv4,
Thanks, I thought about driving out there myself, until last weekend some friends and I took a drive to Thief River Falls, MN to the Arctic Cat Factory, for a little snowmobile ride with the engineers, AWSOME. .
However the drive was way too long, and I don't feel like climbing in a truck again for a while. The ride might have been better in my Cummins, but we took a GMC crewcab with an underpowered 454. We went thru 4 or 5 tanks of gas for each of the 4 guys that went,(16-20 tanks of gas--36 gallon tank) for the 2000 mile drive... Gassers blow I'll be looking forward to the pics...

I talked with a sales guy yesterday while looking around for a rig for my wife. He tells me they have seen the new style and that he feels it does not look that different from the current style. He repeated what I read elsewhere that the 1/2 ton will change next year and the others a year later.

Hey LAWDOG!
How do you like your 800? Get the chance to spank any T-Cats yet? #ad

Oh yea, trucks...
Uh hem... A friend of mine (also a snowmobile racer) said he would be ordering his new HD this August (employee discount, no less).

Extreme1, I love the 800, it ROCKS... I did not get to run a t-cat yet, but it drove by a 98 ZRT 800 triple. Also a friend bought the same sled as me (ZR 800 LE), and 4 of his friends all bought 2001 t-cats... he says ski tip to ski tip to the mid 90's then the t-cat starts to inch away. That is with stock everything except studs and carbides. . #ad

On a sad note, The mighty Dodge decided to not sponsor Team Arctic anymore, they switched to the loser team at Polaris (Poor Old Loser Always Riding In Second) MY guess is because Polaris sponsers one of the nascar teams that switched to Dodge Intrepids this year, and the head of dodge marketing, Jim Julow, I hear is like the father of this Nascar stuff for Dodge, so I guess it makes sense, but I still don't like it, Ecspecially since the CEO at Arctic cat said they are now ordering crew cab 3500 HD Chevys with the Durapuke and Allison for the race team...

I hope Dodge has something heavy soon. Feb issue of Trailer Life has a Chevy fleet side Dualie. It's a turbo diesel with an Allison 5 speed auto. It's impressive but I'm Dodge all the way.

'98 Quad 2500. Regular stuff.

Go to your favorite magazine rack, find the Feb. issue of " Car and Driver ", inside is an enhanced photo of a new red Ram... ...
