WTF!!!

That thing is so ulgy it makes me mad to own a current model.

That ranks up there with the Pontiac Aztek, VW Bug, that new Chevy 4-door truck thing, and the new Cady/GMC SUV thingie.

'' I spotted a 02 Crew on a highway (loop 101, Glendale) here a couple of nights ago. I was in the 3rd lane; he was on the on ramp. Looked like a Dodge truck so I kept an eye in the rear view for it. Noticed the headlight pattern was different and thought for a moment it wasn't a Dodge. But didn't look like anything reconizable either.

So I slowed down and moved over a lane to allow for a low speed pass. Didn't think much of it until I saw the Ram 1500 emblem (obviously different from the 01's and prior), and then the four doors and tail lights which first look to be a Chevy.

Sped up to get another look, seems the rear doors make this a 1. 75 quad cab not exactly a full crew like the "others" but still big enough it seems. I wanted to get a better view of the front, hard to tell much other than the grill was chrome and it appeared to be non-sport trim.

The truck was black, (Had to be a 4x4, it was pretty tall) had the Michigan state manufacture tags, and it looks awesome (in the dark anyway) it seems the cross hairs in the grill are less pronounced than the Sport grille shown in this thread.

DC does have a proving ground in Whitman AZ (Used to work there in the mid 80's).

Was neat to see, too bad it was dark. But I give it thumbs up (from what I saw anyway)

Saw one in Albertsons parking lot the about a week ago. Was suprised to see these out already. Anyways its even fuglier that the pictures.

Opinions are like armpits, we all have em. I think the new truck looks head and tails better then it's predecessor. Then again I think my 93 looks better then the newer ones. Never have warmed up to the 94-01 Dodges, and of all the new trucks built I like the look of the Ford heavy duties best. Of course none possess Toyota quaility, and for goodness sake don't run into anything with them or they'll fold up like an accordian based on the latest collision tests, another plus for Toyota. No, I don't own a Toyota but will when the third transmission on my Caravan finally dies.

Guys, I'm sorry--but these things are just plain UGLY:(

What in the world where those designers thinking of. The sport is better looking than the SLT though. I guess the positive side is my truck will definatley hold its value now!! Get rid of that GRILL!

Max:confused:

I refer back to my earlier post with the disclaimer that it was "dark" when I spotted this truck. I also have tinted windows.

Looks great at night!

I am reserving my daylight comments until I actually see one.

Might be a mean looking rig in a 4x4 dually, jacked up with mean offroad tires and large brush guard, offroad lights and a winch.

Sounds like it would hide the grille. Maybe that's the point.

Des, nice avitar! }:8 Hook'em Horns!

I Think the grill is too big for the truck. It might grow on me, but it is too different. As someone said earlier, that square hole above the air dam looks like Pinochio with his mouth open.

denver off road

maybe DC should make the denver off road bumper an option.

you know, like the one we installed on MacTruck's 2500 at our Hooters meet. check it out in local events/ Connecticut Hooters

Meet/pics/movies.

still trying to talk the wife into an '02 and not wait for one of these...
