2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission 2002 Transfer Case Grind 241DLD And Price??

I test drove a 2002 sport quad cab for a friend today.



I love the truck and it passes my inspection (what little I know)



The transfer case Grinds going into 4LO unless you put a good amount of force behind it. I'm use to banging mine into 4LO so I kicked it right in, but he tried 3 times and it ground all 3 times.



The salesman (who wasn't present for the gear grinding) said before I even drove the truck that it hadn't been offroaded, trailer puller only. This has Said Friend spooked about buying it. .



Is there something wrong with the T-case 241DLD or is it just that it's new??



Truck has 39,XXXmiles Power everything CD Tow PCK No mods



The want 29K and change... This sound right?? I was guessing 25 tops and was a bit floored at price but I don't know.

i busted my 4lo just turning around in the dirt before that it always went in fine now it just sits there and grinds might check the shifter linkage
