I thought I would be slick and buy my brothers stock aluminum wheels off of him. The front wheel goes on great, went to put the back one on, and the brake drum quickly told me it liked my old stock wheels better. I forgot he has 4-wheel disk brakes, therefore the inner wheel is not as deep as mine. IF anyone in Texas needs a set of wheels off a 2002 model, let me know, first $250 takes em.

That's a steal! The day I bought my truck I bought a brand new set of factory wheels and tires off of a guy with a 2001 2500. Paid $400 cash. Took 'em home and tried to mount them and it happened just the same as yours.



Called the guy back trying to be "these won't fit, I need my $ back" :-{} "my wife won't let me, the $ is going for a GN plate & trailer brakes" So I was basically screwed! #@$%!



Sold them to a used car buddy for $350 and "dealer price" on two replacement tires because the truck had 2 bald mud kings at the time.



Oh yeah the next week the sorry SOB had new diamond tread bed rail caps, toolbox, wilson 1000 CB antenna, and CB! #@$%! #@$%! #@$%!

Many guys run the newer alloy wheels on the '90's trucks. All you need to do is have a machine shop turn the widest part of the brake drum down by about 1/8.
