Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 2003/4 rotors to a 1999?

Last night I read an article that the rotors in the new trucks will fit the 2nd gen trucks. This was not a Dodge magazine so I thought I would bounce this off the TDR.



I just today discovered that I need to replace my rotors. Never heard the warning noises but ... ... ...



So before I buy the same old rotors I wanted to ask the TDR what you all thought about trying to upgrade my rotors to those nice 13. 2 or 14 inch rotors of the new trucks.



Probably need calipers and rotors, what else do you all think would be needed???



Not worth the effort or should I investigate it?

I think you'll need to buy 17inch or bigger wheels so everything will clear if you do the conversion to 03 discs.

talked to Sam...

I just called Sam Peterson's shop and he tells me that in my 99 the rotor is pressed on and that fact alone will rule out the swap.



Sounded like a great idea... .
