I have seen leveling kits that change the front coils to raise the front end level with the rear end. I have also seen some mention of the possibility of removing a block that is between the rear leafs and the rear axle to drop the rear end down level with the front. My question is, has anyone tried this and if so, were there any complications while performing this mod? I would prefer not to raise the truck any more than it already is.

I HAVE LOOKED AT THE 2 BLOCKS(EACH ONE ABOUT ONE INCH THICK)AND THINK YOU CAN REMOVE ONE. LOOKS LIKE THREADS ON U-BLOCKS ARE OK. LETME KNOW IF IT WORKS.

There are 2" and 3" spring spacers available for the 2500 and 3500's. The spacer installs at the top of the coil spring, utilizing the existing spring, hardware etc. You will need to replace the front shocks because of the extended travel.

Installation is a breeze. Remove the shock , pop of the tie rod ends and track bar end, unbolt the spring tower and raise the vehicle.

If you want an idea of the visual and height change, get your floorjack out and raise the front end until the measurement from the fenderwell lip increases 2" from the "at rest" position.

I have installed the spacers on a friends truck. (Used his as the test) I will be purchasing the 2" spacers for the wifes "99 3500 4X4 and my '03 2500 4X4.
