Here is the complete list of diagnostic trouble codes for the 2003 Cummins. Do not try and use them for gas engines, as they may not be the same.

Got a P2262 code today also. Have a look in the 3rd gen 6. 7L Engine area, and do a search for P2262. I think the second item will be P2262 TSB's. Bottom line, looks like its related to soot build up in the turbo and / or EGR.

Here are a couple of other codes not listed. I threw these after installing an ATS Co-Pilot and Valve Body:

1753 Transmission Throttle Valve Control (TTVC)

1751 Mechanical Failure - TTVC

Ended up being the Torque Converter shift solenoid that went, though the TTVC wasn't seated correctly.

What about C codes. I have what I think is C0000. I did the self test thing and all that showed up was "c code", then "00 00", then everything came on as normal. Any ideas??? Thanks, Trey

I just got a P-2609 upon startup. It was 10 degrees or so. I noticed that the heat shrink has come of the small wire at the relay to the battery. Does anyone know more about the P-2609 code??

Your batteries are weak, or you did not allow the grid heaters the allowed time to cycle off before starting... .....

I have the P2509 ECM/PCM power input signal inter. Do you know what the fix might be. I have cleared it once and it came back the same day. 2006 RAM 5. 9 Auto Trans 3500

Following the directions in the last TDR magazine I went through the cycling of the ignition key to check for codes and came up with: done

Does this mean there are no codes avialable or did I run the key sequence in correctly?

I am sorry I did not get back to you faster .

But to check a code all you have to do is turn the key 3 times (off on) ( off on) (off on) but never start the engine .

And leave the key on the (on position) the 3rd time and the codes will be displaided were the milage odometer display is .

And when all the codes are shown the display will say done .

And if there are no codes it will just say done .

Also if you want to know how meny hours your engine has been running just turn the key to the ("ON" RUN) position and press the trip button in .

I am showing a Check Gages light on my dash. Pulled the code and it is P0517 (Battery Temperature Sensor High). Is this related to the charging system or just old batteries?
