I recently installed a AirDog II, and 90 hp injectors, gained more power, but I now have a clattering at Idle 750 rpm-1300 rpm, that wasnt there before. Guy who put it in says its normal, because I added more fuel. But I dont bye it. Any help?

would not be too surprising... the 90hp. injectors are putting the fuel to the engine, even at low idle/load then excess fuel is there... Remember, you made a mechanical change... If you have a programmer, I would alter the timing and see if it goes away...

One of the guys with mods will chime in with more direction...

What all mods are on the truck besides the AD and the nozzles??

Sounds like normal timing rattle. The EJ/A advances timing as does the larger injectors. Depending on how exact the nozzles were done, spray pattern can contribute to that also.

Not sure its a problem. A lot of the noise reduction with the CR's came from the reduced timing. A little timing rattle is normal on a stock engine after things wear for a while.

Excessive rattle could be other problems but its hard to tell what is too much and what is normal.

Disconnect the EJ\A and see if it changes then you will know a little more of the cause.

You can get a different programer that you can control the timing better. I only really use my tst for timing advance. With big injectors you get a ton of low end fueling and you need to play with it to get it right. Its all part of modding a truck.

Thanks guys for all the input, this is my first time on TDR and this is some
cool stuff, I'll let you know
How it turns out.

Which the EJ\A already does. Will it stop the rattle, essentially no. Thats a by product of combustion that is not always timing related.

Timing is not all it is cracked up to be, especially on a the later CR's. In fact, its just as dangerous as pressure.

The EJ\A definitely runs a little hotter than other tuners but then again all we see are the EGT's and its not bad if the EGT's are hot as that is less timing.

Its a balance between efficiency and longevity on these engines becuase they are making so much power. A little too far and its easy to burn something.

All part of the slippery slope. :)
