Anyone souped up thier 24v pusher motorhome?

pullrite 20.5k super hitch

I now have a 2003 Dodge 3500 (DC HO, 6-sp, 4x4, Quadcab, etc. ) on order. One of the options I ordered is the trailer tow package. If I purchase a Prodigy brake controller, how much trouble is it to connect and set it up? Do I just look for a loose connector under the dash and connect a mating connector from the Prodigy or does it involve locating specific wires under the dash and splicing into them? If it involves just plugging one connector into another, then I can handle it. If it involves splicing into a wire harness, then I will let someone else do it.

Also, how and where would you mount the Prodigy? Would you "Velcro" it in place or should it be mounted with screws or bolts?

Watch the wiring colors

On my 2001, the color codes for the break controller are NOT the same as the Dodge wiring, check the labels before you connect the controller wiring to the Dodge factory pig tail. It easier to wire the controller before you plug it under the dash. the plug located on the driver side near the firewall. ;)

There is a pigtail that came with my Prodigy that plugs right in to the conn. under the dash. I think it is extra, but they gave it to me. I think there is a tag on it with a part #. If you need it let me know and I'll check it out for you.

What yogi said. Techonsha makes a harness that plugs into the controler on one end and the truck on the other. It seems that it cst about $10. I can't locate a part # bu they are avalable at RV centers or on line at Southwest Wheel. Just ask for the one that is specific to Dodge.
