2003 dually Paint (help)

I just order a 2003 HO 6spd quad cab dually. I wanted the graphite paint but i am told it not available on a dually. Is there a way to by pass the system to get the truck painted graphite? what would be a good 2nd choice ? I hate to spend 40k and not be happy with the color. I was thinking dark red for a 2nd.

I need some suggestion.

I really wanted the graphite as well, there were only four colors available for the dually, black, red, white and silver. I got the silver in a laramie sport and it is one sharp looking truck and it is very easy to keep clean looking as compared to the darker colors.

Is it still true that you can only get four colors on the dually?? I was building one on Dodge's website earlier and I had a bigger list of colors (including blue, green and my favorite... maroon).



Or is it that you can only get those four on a Sport?

I for one have seen a green 3500 quad dually, it wasn't a sport but it was a Laramie.

You can get red, dark red , dark blue , green ,silver, white and black in the dually. The single wheel 3500 you can get all the colors . I know as soon as i order my truck the color i want will become available. Does anyone work for Dodge ? maybe you can find out how to get the truck painted a color not offer. back in the 60s and 70s you could special order lots of different colors.

In the Sport you can only get the 4 colors. You could not get the graphite in any dually when I ordered my truck in October.

Can you guy post some picture of different color 03 duallys . This is a hard choice to make. I put the order in for the dark garnet red (moroon) but i have time to change it. I will try to hit some dealers this weekend but most in my area won't stock duallys.

Not to beat the issue. Ford offers 12 colors for there dually . they also offer a color very similar to graphite so i don't think it has anything to do with paint sticking to the rear fenders. Anyone have a picture of a garnet red dually? how do you like it?

Don't have a picture, but my 2001. 5 chassis cab dually was dark garnet and I loved it. Very nice color. If I couldn't of gotten Graphite on this truck, I would of gotten dark garnet again for sure.

I test drove a Black 3500 DRW Sport 4x4 over the weekend. Almost tempted me to drive it home and leave my '01 at the dealer.



I'm looking for pics of a Maroon dually as well. I've got that color on my truck right now, wanted to see how it would look on a dually.

I just got a call from Chryler customer service. They said they cannot paint a dually Graphite because the rear fenders are painted in a different location and they won't match the rest of the truck. What kind of B. S. is that. I about to cancel my order.

O. K. I am stuck between Patriot blue and Dark Garnet red. What do you guys think? I need to make a decision soon. I wish we had the same choices Ford has.

I prefer reddish colors over blue in general, so I'd pick the dark garnet. . But I think both are very sharp looking on a dually.

My second choice was patriot blue with lotsa chrome. I decided to go with a white sport because it will be easier to keep looking decent (no, I don't wash the truck as often as I should).



My first new car was a garnet red Daytona Turbo - too much attention from the cops!
