Thanks, TDR Staff

Gave a PSD owner a ride

GM, and others want more diesels....

I am seriously considering a 2003 excursion limited with a (gasp) Powerstroke. It is loaded to the hilt.

Sticker is 51,000 and change - invoice is 44500. I can get for 42,500.

I want your good/bad feedback

Thanks Guys (and Gals)

If you want one now is the time. 2003 is the last year with the 7. 3L, 2004 is the last year for this creature in general but it will have the new 6. 0L with pilot injection... If my info is correct?

However a Co-worker of mine is working a deal in Denver for a fully loaded ( over 50K) 2002 Excursion and is at 12K off the sticker trying for little more.

We have about 20 K miles on ours, and it is great! Go over to the Ford-diesel site and read the forums about the PSD Excursion. You will learn a lot. The first thing I did when I got mine home was replace the POS shocks and add a rear sway bar. It really helps the handling, an I would recommend it.

these haven't been a big seller for ford like they had thought. The resale value is pretty bad. If i was to get one i would make sure that i got a screamin deal on it. you might look at a slightly used one. I think 42k is pretty steep

slightly used

I did find a 2001 Excursion Limited with 9,000 miles. It was titled before, not a "Demo"...

Dealer was asking 36,995 for it. That is too steep for a 2 year old truck, when a new one can be had for 42,500 or so.

My job offers what they call the "X PLAN" on any Ford, I hear that if you walk in and say you need the X PLAN, they pull a folder from the file and you get it for what the dealer paid for it... ... ... ... ... . sounds good but I love my Cummins

I Don't knowif he can or not! but I can ask where he is doing this dealing and put you in touch with him, if he's game and you would like me to? My work Number is 303 273-4859. "Rich" the Co-worker is a shift worker 12 hours 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am.

Maybe the info he has will help you make a deal? you never know.
