2003 injectors like Duramax?

Are the Bosch injectors used in the 2003 Ram like the ones used in the Duramax? I understand the Duramax have some problems with injectors that fail and dumps diesel into crank case. A friend had this happen. Also has the 2003 lift pump become more reliable are is it the same old thing?

These two issues have been addressed at length - you may want to do a search. The short answer is no, the injectors are very different and so far nobody has complained of a failed lift pump on a 03 (it appearers to be somewhat different as well).

The injectors use the same concept (electrically-fired), but are physically different. The guts are pretty much the same, just different on the outside.
