Someone? Anybody? Please help. .

I just removed my silencer ring on my 2003 TD and forgot to reconnect the intake air temp sensor before cranking engine.

Now I have a little engine icon (MIL according to manual) staying on in the upper left hand corner of gauge cluster.

Please, how can I get this thing to reset??????????

SOOO much thanks in advance!

It took about 10 starts to clear mine. There is another post about removing your batt leads and turn on the ing for about 10-15 min to "drain" the charge(s). This is suspossed to clear the lites/codes (depends on which ones, if I recall).

SOTSU!!

EDIT: found one of the posts - codes - is the name, in the non-eng 3g forum. Its back about 20 days but a search on that title should get it for you. The last post has the info.

You cant clear obd 2 codes by disconnecting the battery, you need a scan tool, it may go off later but the code will be there for the dealer to see if you dont get a scan tool and clear it. This applies to 1996 and up obd2 trucks for usa sales and cars!

I have the Edge EZ on a California model truck. While towing, about 300 miles into the trip, the MIL will come on. It will go off after about 40 starts, and you may have to drive it also, not sure about the last part. There is something in the manual that states something like this. It has happened to me three times so far.
