2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission 2003 towing mirrors on a 99'?????

Question, Will the electric/heated factory 03' towing mirrors fit on my 99' dually, currently I have the junk(for towing) sport electric/heated mirrors. When I tow I'm currently using the aftermarket slide over extention mirrors, they don't work very well with my 102 " wide enclosed trailer!!!

2003 mirrors will not fit 99

I was at the local dealer just two days ago discussing mirrors with a man I trust. He said he has tried to make the new mirrors fit and had no success.

I think the only way is to do the 2000 year base switch with the 2003 year arm. You put the base of the 2000 mirror with the arm and wiring section of a 2003 mirror. I know Rob Thomas has this on his truck.

You need two sets of mirrors, one for the 2nd gen and one for the 3rd gen. Then you have to do surgery to combine the two.
